Tackle Reports
I am very happy to test out a product, be it rod, reel, line or other accessory. Manufacturers, please be aware that I will be honest! There are no sponsors involved with this site, if I don't like something, I'll say so.

For anyone reading the reports, remember they're based on what I like personally. Most people that know me, know that I like the lighter, fast-action rods and the longer belly spey lines. I will test all types of rod and line, but my prejudices may shine through!
Marking Notes
Report for Sage VT2
Report for Snowbee XS-P Torridge 12' #6/7
Report for Bob Meiser Highlander 14'6" 8/9 5 piece
Report for CND Black Spey 14ft 8/9/10 rod
Click the links below.
Action  I mark out of 6.  The faster the rod is, the higher the number.  6 is fastest.
Cosmetics  Again out of 6.  The better cosmetics, the higher the rating.
Line Rating
This is the line weight I feel the rod will take.
(A) is for Advanced Casters, and the line that loads the rod for me.
(B) is for Beginners, or those that like to feel the rod load a little deeper.
Ideal Line  The best line I found for the rod - for me, not for everyone.
Overall  Complete mark out of 10.  Doesn't take value into account, as costs vary.
